Rung to commemorate the death of Third Engineer Idris Percy Thomas on the 12th May 1917. 
Idris was the only casualty when his ship, the SS Wirral, was torpedoed by the U-19 in the Norwegian Sea. 
He was a ringer at this tower ringing two peals on these bells.
Also in memory of Bill Kitchen for many years Tower Captain at Porthmadog, who died on April 26th

This peal was originally organised by Geoff Parting, the Buckley tower captain, who has been unwell;
